Consider the spiritual power of groups. While relationships can be our greatest challenge, God has blessed us with relationships to meet our deepest needs.

Again I say to you, that if two of you agree on earth about anything that they may ask, it shall be done for them by My Father who is in heaven. - Matthew 18:19

Life Groups for Christians

Upcoming Group Topic for 2024:

See Yourself as Loveable

You know God loves you, but sometimes you don't feel this assurance. Maybe messages of shame or fear keep you from living the abundant life that you long for. We have to re-train our mind and nervous system to get the message from our head to our heart.

If you have ever wanted to give up trying to prove your worth according to the world's standards, then join this weekly group to uncover your God-given worth. We will meet

online weekly using Zoom. The 1.5 hour meeting will consist of two parts.

Part One: Discuss Book Loveable

The first hour of each meeting we will discuss a chapter in the

book Loveable by Kelly Flanagan.

Part Two: Re-writing Your Life Story

The last 30 minutes of each meeting will be devoted to life stories. The first five meetings will consist of lessons on our story-shaped brains. As homework, you will follow worksheets to begin re-writing your life story. Starting about week 6, you will give a 5-10 minute summary of your life story. Following your story, each other member of the group will give you compassionate feedback based on specific guidelines.

Each group lasts for 1.5 hours. Each group session is $45

Loveable Group

Yes, I'm interested in this group on Loveable!

This is not a commitment to a day or time, but a rough idea of your availability. A more precise system will follow when enough people have expressed interest. If your schedule is within one hour of matching, there is some flexibility in the times.

Strength and Safety

A person standing alone can be attacked and defeated, but two can stand back-to-back and conquer.

Three are even better, for a triple-braided cord is not easily broken.

Healing and Connection

Curt Thompson, a Christian neuro-psychiatrist, has observed that group work offers more powerful healing than any other modality. He states that "a community provide(s) more emboidied energy of love and connection... as a way to wage war against shame."

(p. 106, Soul of Desire).

Need a
In-Person Group Near You?

Do you struggle with any negative emotion such as depression, anxiety or anger? Do you have some long-standing issue that no one understands and even close friends or family urge you to "just get over it?" If you have tried everything and are at the end of yourself, try something different.

I highly recommend Celebrate Recovery. It is for LIFE recovery, not just substance addictions. You will find a group of people who listen with compassion. They don't try to fix, change, or judge you. The  most healing part is participating in a Christ-centered 12-step group which lasts about 9 months.

Are you reluctant? Uncomfortable in groups?

I understand your hestitation because I felt it myself before I joined my first life group. These will be relationships like you have probably never experienced them. There will not be a set of social expectations for you to figure out and fit into. You won't have to hussle for approval here. You get to feel connected without being exhausted taking care of others.

Confidentiality is of upmost importance for the group to be a safe place. What is said in the group stays in the group.

I assure you that I gently but firmly lead the group so that every person feels seen and heard. The content is supportive and encouraging. Feelings and authentic expression are valued, but the dynamic is not depressing or full of drama.
